This message just went out to this year's list of registered Kosmo-politans... If you haven't done it yet, do it now! We want to see you at camp in less than 10 days.

===============================================================

Hey Kosmos Folks,

We're now less than 10 days from this year’s Kosmos Camp and we've got some important information to share…

First off, as many of you know and everyone else should take a minute to check out, the TENTATIVE class schedule is currently posted on the website at: www.kosmoscamp.com/Schedule08.htm We hope to stay pretty true to this plan but are willing to update as we adapt to the new campsite.

ARRIVAL TIME IS ANYTIME AFTER 4PM on Thursday, June 5th.
You'll register, settle in, do yoga (if you wish) at 6PM, relax, and have dinner at 7:30pm-8:30pm. Then we'll introduce staff and have some outstanding opening night performances to kick the party off right. Here's a key "To-Bring" list to keep in mind:

- Cozy blanket (for snuggling during the evening shows at the outdoor theatre or on your deck)
- Warm pants and jacket (evening lows have been in the high 40s)
- Twin bed sheets, covers, and pillows (for
tent/cabins) Also, consider bringing a sleeping bag for any chilly nights.
- Camping gear and bedding/sleeping bag (for campsites/canopies)
- Lawn/Camp chairs and/or tables (for relaxing on the private decks)
- Earplugs, for any light sleepers (It may be louder than you like at night)
- Flashlight (It also gets dark at night)
- Toiletries (bug repellant & sun block are strongly advised)
- Bathing suit & towel (Daytime highs have been in the low 80s and the new site features a great big pool!)
- Comfortable shoes (as well as any dance shoes)
- Musical instruments (If you got ‘em, bring ‘em!)
- Toys (for spinning, hooping, balancing, etc) or crafts (if you’re the crafty sort) or a book (if you just want to unwind with a trashy novel)
- Snacks/Beverages (We provide yummy food and drink, but if you have anything special you want/need, bring it along)
- Perscriptions/Aspirin/Allergy Meds etc (Better safe than sorry)
- Money (for the evening bar, the bakery across the street, and/or crafts/CDs by your fellow campers)
- Lamps or other electrical appliance for tent cabin use; there’s one outlet per tent cabin (Sorry no heaters, they can be a fire hazard)

PHONES:

Cell Phones don't get reception at the resort, though they do work 15 minutes down the road. There is a phone at the camp but it's not a pay phone so you’ll need a calling card. There is no Internet access at the camp (sorry nerds, workaholics, and ebay junkies).

RIDES:

With gas prices rising and global warming in full swing, we encourage all to ride up together. To coordinate rides, just go to:
kosmoscamp.tribe.net/

Post using the title "I Need a Ride from…" or "Who Wants a Ride from…?" and it’s great if you can indicate where you’re coming from.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS:

Our webmaster has updated the driving directions, replacing it with a better and faster route. Check this link for the new and improved directions:

Can’t wait to see you all soon… we're excited and looking forward to seeing you all. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me at:

Sincerely,
Matthew Furey
