OK, I'll be the first to post about this year's Kosmos!
It was my first year,, and hopefully many more to follow! I came in as a member of the 40s and over crowd musician - non dancer. I had heard that previous years had been at a place more open and therefore potentially much hotter. Not having that history for comparison all I would say is that I was very impressed by the redwoods!! Wow! It was truly an honor to meet you people and do my work with music while meeting so many beautiful people, in such a beautiful setting!
Really, it was a special time!
I'll post some pics as soon as I get back home.
I love you guys!
Dave

Mon, June 9, 2008 - 5:12 PMI completely agree with you, Dave! It was a marvelous weekend. An incredible community of people, endless wonderful music, AWEsome dancing, super yummy food, and an inspiring surrounding. Please post your photos. I brought a camera, but completely forgot to take any photos, too caught up meeting new people and having fun. =)) -

Mon, June 9, 2008 - 5:51 PMI didn't bother bringing a camera. None of the pictures I took last year were anywhere NEAR as cool as the ones Brad took. I'm just going to see what he took :) -

Mon, June 9, 2008 - 5:55 PMHehe, Brad was everywhere with that camera. There's some serious amount of photos to go through, I'm sure! But I can't wait to see the "yogami/yogagami" photos of Deb and I stretching before Ramon's class. =P -

Mon, June 9, 2008 - 6:08 PMI just finished downloading the memory cards to the computer.... some 5,000 frames to work through! Y'all were just too much fun! I've flipped through a few quickly and there's some gems for sure (such as Deb's yogagami).
Be patient and I'll share as quick as possible. -

Re: Post Kosmos '08
Mon, June 9, 2008 - 5:50 PMI'm planning on posting all my thoughts from this year but am too tired right now. I have no clue why more people don't go!!! This was my second year and I was juiced just knowing I had Kosmos '09 to look forward to. Money is tight for us right now so I got to choose one event to attend this year and this was it! 4 days next year!! AWESOME!

Re: Post Kosmos '08
Tue, June 10, 2008 - 2:08 PMThe new setting was really wonderful! And the food was much better than last year!
So many lovely and talented people--it was hard to leave.
Aubre--I, too, forgot to take pictures--
I really enjoyed myself this year: the new setting was perfect, the food was better than last year (can I have more spinach manicotti, please), the music at the firepit was great--esp. Friday night, the classes were fun (even the challenging cuban modern. . . talk about a fish out of water), and the beautiful and talented people there were such and honor to be with.
Thank you everyone!

Wed, June 11, 2008 - 2:31 PMAubre--I so loved our hanging out time on Friday night. I'd share a bottle of wine or two with you anytime (esp if we poach it from the poor souls who left it unattended while they danced. . .)

Wed, June 11, 2008 - 5:52 PMHey Dave - you did pretty well as an out of town newbie! :-) It was great playing with you.
Speaking of photos - I dug around on Flickr but didn't find anything (yet). Ifyou use Flickr, add kosmoscamp2008 to your tags so we can find the photos!
